EQUIPMENT

EXTERIOR
The solid black paintwork presents with a deep glossy shine free from any fading or corrosion issues. The classic 911 lines are unmistakable and, sporting wider ‘Turbo’ rear arches, this one really looks the part. Having been treated to a full repaint last year the bodywork remains in excellent condition, perfectly offset by the satin grey roll hoop and decklid grille. A few more nice upgrades over standard include the LED headlights, Porsche side decals, and circular door mirrors.
INTERIOR
The seats and door cards were fully re-upholstered in 2021 and as such present impeccably. The attractive combination of supple leather and houndstooth cloth is a nice period touch and a great contrast against the exterior paintwork. The original steering wheel has also been re-trimmed to an excellent standard with high quality leather. In the footwells the carpets appear in fine condition with no rips or stains, and the dash is also without any unsightly marks. A wooden gear knob completes the look and certainly adds to the uniqueness of this fantastic 80s Targa.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
In 2021 the car underwent a full engine and gearbox rebuild by marque specialists Performance Porsche Klassiker Limited, the invoice for this work totalling an eye-watering £13k. Lifting the rear lid the engine bay presents to a nice original standard with just the right level of patina in our opinion. Out on the road the car performs really well; the engine pulls exactly as it should and the 5-speed manual ‘box operates smoothly.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 16-inch Fuchs wheels all present perfectly having previously been refurbished to an exceptional standard with the correct matte painted centres and polished rims. They are wrapped in Nankang rubber all round with plenty of tread left at each corner. The brakes have also been checked and remain in fine operational condition.
HISTORY FILE
With the intention of keeping it forever the current owner has spent in excess of £28k bringing this lovely 1983 SC Targa up to the fine condition in which it now stands. Recent works include a full respray with new ‘Turbo’ rear wings, an interior retrim, engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild, and alloy wheel refurbishment.
The 911 presents extremely well and is ready to be driven and enjoyed for many years to come. Previously registered overseas, a limited amount of paperwork is available with the car but the condition really speaks for itself. It is currently registered on a dateless 6-digit plate that’s included with the sale.
