It was created and built as a return to the Capri market for the ROKSTOCK brand. But also for its WOW FACTOR statement that it makes as a European Ford Capri with amazing credentials. As it once was a American run racecar with a Ford 302 V/ 8 motor, its classic road-warrior patina was kept in place. As you can see, its now pristine condition still shines through, but still honors its past history. It has been road tested for safety issues as well as both engine and chassis Dyno tested. There is a book in the works, telling the true story of the RS brands start to its untimely end as a result of the USA's negative economic storm of the late 79'early 80's and the discontinuation of the European Ford Capri into the USA. The untimely and huge building expansion move to include other cars for its parts and service's proved the death blow to the nitch-market company. But ROK believed this RSRGT Capri and as its interesting and very serious statement would recreate new interest for a comeback of the once-well-know Capri operation, but found out sadly that the interests from the current Capri owners of the world WERE more interested in his RSR turbo Capri II's. ROK still owns the first #001 RSR turbo Capri and that after an extensive restoration (as it was stolen and away from ROK for 20 years) but as its motor/ trans and drive-train were removed to be freshened up before the car was stolen. ROKSTOCK still has the correct and proper components for the total restoration, as the car was outside for all the years it went missing.) The RSRGT Capri IS a FRESH BUILD, everything IS NEW except the body as it was left as per its racecar-road-warrior statement and its patina, (hood and trunk lid were re-painted) However, as its structural-re-engineered body-chassis-suspension to its magnificent AC NUTTER and ROKSTOCK designed 351c Cleveland big block FORD engine and its modified C6 transmission, 9'' Ford rear-end assembly and ALL of its special parts/ components that make up a safe-sound and incredible beast-monster of a Capri II, its quite a handful and its raw-brute sound is beyond words to explain, its onlookers upon start up ARE blown-away. This special ROKSTOCK RSRGT Capri is without a doubt an incredible good-investment deal at this point in its existence. For some astute individual it will be a wind-fall purchase. But, that feature current and future value is up for potential thinking. But at the moment ROK believes his car and with all of its ROKSTOCK Capri provenance, for all of its historic value of giving thousands (30, 000+) of Ford Capri owners in North America and Canada with a brand of components and Capri cars to look up to... a line of special Capri parts and cars to ascribe to.
