Description
Here is my Mk1 Escort, its been built as a rally car, but has lived in the barn with very little use, just the occasional trip round the village.
Started out as a 1100 model, now the strengthened and welded shell, is fitted with a Cosworth YB turbo setup.
Has full roll cage, quad spot lamps, uprated brakes and suspension, LSD, bucket seats and harnesses, switch board with cut off key, internal fuel cell, internal run fuel lines..... etc.
The shell is solid, paint is presentable but not perfect- its been built to be used at the end of the day, so don't expect a trailer queen or concourse show car.
It sounds stunning, mechanically its on the button, starts straight up on the first go, even after months in dry storage, and idles and revvs as you would expect.
Very fun car to drive, around the 355 BHP mark according to rolling road.
