Manual and only 57k miles from new, a pristine C2 in Speed Yellow over black.

EQUIPMENT
Speed Yellow paintwork, Black leather upholstery, 6-Speed manual transmission, 18-inch ‘Technology’ (lightweight hollow-spoke) alloy wheels, Red brake calipers, Electric sunroof, Electric windows, Electric mirrors, Rear wiper, Analogue clock, Porsche Immobiliser, Electrically adjustable front seats, Sony CD player, Cassette holder, Space saver spare wheel, Tool kit, 911 overmats.

EXTERIOR
Finished in gleaming Speed Yellow this manual C2 presents beautifully beneath our studio lighting. Having driven only 57k miles from new the car looks very fresh indeed, the paintwork maintaining a lustful shine with a deep and uniform colour throughout. It’s arrow-straight along both sides with no scuffs or scrapes, and the lights are clear all round with no moisture ingress to report, including the rear reflector. The car has always been carefully stored away from the elements and so all the trims present in first-rate condition, and the underside is also remarkably clean. All in all, a pin-sharp example of the air-cooled 911’s final iteration, in a stunning colour combo and looking every bit the low mileage.

INTERIOR
The cabin is trimmed in supple black leather with complementing deep pile carpets. The seats remain in excellent condition and are still perfectly supportive, with all the electronic adjustments operating exactly as they should. Commonly worn areas such as the driver’s bolster, steering wheel, and gear knob hint at only light use, and the switchgear is still reassuringly solid to operate. The carpets are well protected by the original set of 911 overmats, and up above the headlining is tight and damage-free. A highly impressive original interior, the only upgrade over standard being a subtle Sony CD player that fits in well with the 993 aesthetic.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
As to be expected the engine bay is in fantastic condition with no damage or signs of previous poor repair to any of the inner paintwork. The 3. 6-litre flat six looks as good as ever, fires up first turn of the key, and idles smoothly up to temperature. Being a later 993 this one is further equipped with Porsche’s Varioram induction system giving vastly improved low to mid-range torque over pre-1996 examples. Having only ever been serviced by either Porsche or Porsche specialists the mechanics of the car are first rate, and of course it’s as tight as a drum to drive. The last service was carried out in September 2021 at 57, 229 miles. The MOT is valid until August 2023.

WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 911 sits on desirable 18-inch hollow-spoke alloys, as specified from new. Each of the wheels remain in excellent condition with unmarked centre badges. They are wrapped in matching Bridgestone rubber all round, these tyres having been fitted in August 2021 at 57, 278 miles. The brakes have also been checked and remain in fine operational condition. Between the spokes the red calipers present beautifully with no fading or damage to the lacquer.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by JCT600 Porsche in March 1996, this manual C2 in sublime Speed Yellow has now driven only 57k miles in the hands of just 5 registered keepers (current since 2003). The accompanying history file comprises a raft of main dealer and specialist invoices, MOT certificates dating back to 1999, historical photographs of the car, correspondence between previous owners, concours event judging sheets (where the car scored very highly), the original leather document pouch with all owner’s manuals, and the dealer-supplied maintenance booklet stamped at the following mileages: 3, 837 - 6, 924 – 8, 924 – 14, 450 – 22, 054 – 26, 985 – 28, 994 – 48, 668 – and most recently at 57, 229 miles in September 2021. The car was fully inspected on arrival with us and boasts a clean bill of health, the only advisory item being a fault with the radio.
