Description
Rarely do they come along like this ..
This T Top Smokey and the Bandit recreation has some great history
Our MD purchased this car several or so years ago from a avid Smokey and the Bandit fan .
He indeed attended various events in the USA recreating the iconic scenes and was a avid member of all Smokey and the Bandit related matter .
A few weeks before Burt Reynolds died he did a signing day at a festival called Bubafest .
We have pictures and indeed a video of that day of him signing this car
The owner at this time who became a friend of our MD was at that event getting the car signed meeting then man himself and this indeed could be one of the last cars that Burt actually signed ..
With cars that Burt owned going for considerable money indeed one made $200k at auction this is a fraction of that with still great province .
Now to the car
When it arrives in the U. K. it was given paintwork as required .
We have recently pulled the car out from its garage and had the engine overhauled
And it has now been U. K. registered ..
It now really does drive well and looks amazing !!!
A very rare car indeed ..
Jerome the last owner had some fantastic photos of the car and him and his wife sharing many Smokey and the bandit poses indeed we have pics on file of the iconic truck and police car image all recreated Jerome was a larger than life character too .
And his passion was these cars !!
Sadly Jerome was killed in a light aircraft crash on July 4th this year
And it would be fitting for this car to go to someone with a equal passion for the movie and the role the car played .
This really is a lot of fun and hard to put a price on the signature alone and the signing etc must have a value all of its own .,
