Ordered by the then Ferrari agents in Cheshire, Stratton (Wilmslow)Ltd on the 17th January 1985 for April production for a Rosso Corsa with crema VM3697 piped in red vm3197 with red carpets with air conditioning and a rear aerofoil. In turn an order was placed by Maranello Concessionaires managing director , Sean Bealey with the factory-order number F/ 517. Unusually the car was completed early (308's and Mondials produced from January 1984 benefitted from Zincrox -"zinc coating of the steel panels on internal panels most exposed to corrosion action") and invoiced to Maranello Concessionaires Ltd on the 21st March 1985 for delivery to the UK by truck, its weight being noted as 1275kg- making this one of the very last of the 74 GTB QV's imported-of which 42 remain taxed or SORN’d.
Upon arrival the UK, the car was invoiced to Strattons (Wilmslow) Ltd on 10th April 1985 by Maranello Concessionaires. It was first registered B26 OVT on 19th April 1985 to a 33-year-old managing director, Mr C W of Glamorganshire. The then (01-01-85 list price was £29, 100. 08 plus delivery charges, number plates and road tax. Additionally, the car was factory optioned with air conditioning at £1, 100. 08 and a rear aerofoil at £170. 68, a Mercedes Benz 500 SE was taken in part exchange.
