Finished in flawless Rolls-Royce Midnight Blue coachwork with London Tan hide, new Royal Blue Wilton carpets throughout, piped in matching Tan. Brand new Blue mohair soft top with the correct wool headlining, Tan hood bag to match main hide and hand painted single coach lines on the wheel trims finish off this special car.
Supplied new via agents Rolls-Royce INC New York in LHD form, dispatched by H. J. Mulliner Park Ward London Coachworks 27th July 1965. Specially ordered with flared arches and chrome strips which emphasises the iconic wing line of this body design by Vilhelm Koren. Additional options included electric windows M. P. H speedo, Sundym glass through out, electric aerial and power soft top.
Fast forward to 2006 the car was acquired by its long term German owner who during his 14 years of ownership fully restored #LCSC81B. The body was stripped back to bare metal and extensive restoration works carried out to the coachwork – all of these works were fully documented and photographed on file. In addition the engine also underwent a complete rebuild and befitted with new pistons, bearings and crankshaft to name a few of the new parts. since completion the car has traveled just over 5700 miles – just run in for its new owner.
Acquired by DD Classics December 2020 and over the course of the next 12 months this car has benefited with over £70, 000 works which have been fully documented and including the following:
Coach work stripped back and painted RR Midnight Blue to perfection.
All chrome removed removed and chromed to perfection.
Chrome body mouldings removed and straightened to perfection
Wheel trims removed polish with new wheel embellishers, painted body colour and hand coach lined to match main hide.
All wood work removed, re veneered to perfection.
Hood frame removed and painted body colour.
Complete new hood hand made including all three parts, outer mohair, inner padding and correct wool headlining.
Complete interior removed and re-trimmed in London Tan with new Wilton carpets – only the best hides were used.
