EXTERIOR
This Monte Carlo presents in absolutely stunning condition, the paintwork is virtually unmarked and has a mirror light shine. Clearly the car has lived a cossetted life as all of the black plastic trims and rubber seals remain free from sun damage or perishing. The lights are all crystal clear and free from any cracks or chips. The only imperfections we could find on the car were a small stone chip above the Ford badge and a couple of minor marks on the lower edge of the front splitter. The underside of the car is also in remarkable condition with no signs of any structural corrosion around the normal weak spots, and it certainly looks like it’s never been driven on British salty roads. Surely a candidate for a show-winning car.
INTERIOR
The condition of the interior is also very good, the seats are some of the best we’ve seen with no damage or marks to the fabric and only a couple of wrinkles to the drivers bolster. The dashboard is immaculate with no cracks or damage and the only non-standard items being the Alpine head unit and two immobilisers located to the left of the gearstick. Other items such as the door cards, parcel shelf and all of the carpets are also immaculate. Inside the boot area is pristine with no signs of wear or any stains to the carpet.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The engine compartment itself is in lovely condition with no corrosion on any of the metal ancillary parts or any oxidisation to the aluminium components. The previous keeper owned his own well-established garage who have maintained this car to a superb standard and after our inspection we were unable to find fault. Some mild modifications have been done to the engine to improve performance and the car drives extremely well, feeling tight with a great surge of acceleration. The original parts are included with the sale if the new owner would like to return it to standard. It has just been freshly serviced so is ready to be enjoyed
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
All of the OZ racing alloys are in perfect condition and are all shod in a recently replaced set of Falken tyres. The car has just returned from a full inspection and all of the braking and suspension components were said to be in fine fettle.
HISTORY FILE
The file comes with an immaculately presented document pack with all of the original owners manuals and both keys. The service book has the first five services noted which are also backed up with the original invoices. To further verify the car’s low mileage there is a file full of old MOT certificates dating back to 1999 when the car had 23, 000 miles. Another nice addition to the history file are copies of all the old registration documents and the current one which shows 8 previous keepers. The current keeper of five years is the owner of a well-established garage who has had all the maintenance work carried out through the business; the parts invoices have been put through the business but he has provided a letter verifying the maintenance on the car. Just back from a service and inspection at our preferred specialist garage the car was found to be in fine fettle with the only required work being the repair of the washer jets and a service.
