A rare V12 manual with only 45k miles from new, in lustrous Solent Silver Metallic.
EQUIPMENT
Solent Silver Metallic paintwork, Pale Grey / Pacific Blue hide upholstery, Electric mohair soft-top in blue, 6-speed manual transmission, Heated and electrically adjustable front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, Walnut interior trim, High fidelity sound system, Analogue clock, Push button start, Alpine head unit, Kenwood CD changer, Space saver spare wheel, Tool kit, Spare keys.
EXTERIOR
This DB7 vantage is finished in the elegant shade of Solent Silver which makes for a lovely combination with the pale grey and blue hide upholstery. Looking around the front of the car it is free from any significant marks with only a couple of very small stone chips to the lower part of the front bumper. The paintwork has just benefited from a full detail and has a smooth glossy finish. The plastic trims and rubber seals are in excellent condition retaining a matte black finish with no signs of perishing. All of the lights and the windscreen are free from any significant chips. The hood and tensioner cables were replaced in February 2020 and so everything is working exactly as it should.
INTERIOR
Clearly this example has been cherished and kept out of the sun as the interior remains in very fresh condition. The leather still feels soft and supple with no signs of cracking or damage; looking closely there’s only a small amount of wear to the piping on the edge of the driver’s seat. The steering wheel also presents in pristine condition with none of the normal wear or ring marks to the leather rim. The gear knob and gaiter remain in fine condition too with only a little scuffing to the top of the gear knob. The dashboard itself is also immaculate and all of the wood remains in the first great order with no fading or cracking. The back seats are in perfect condition as are the door cards and all of the carpets. The boot area is equally tidy with only a couple of small marks on the covers of the rear speakers. Under the boot carpet is an unused space saver wheel, the tools, jack and a Kenwood 6 disc CD changer.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
All of the alloys are in good condition with no significant curb marks although there are a few chips and a couple of areas of paint peel between the spokes. They are all shod in good quality tyres with matching Michelins at the front and nearly new Falkens at the rear. The brakes are in fine working condition with recent replacements on the front and only minimal wear to the rears.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
Opening the bonnet reveals an immaculate engine compartment which really could be described as a work of art. The hand-built V12 masterpiece runs beautifully with a soundtrack almost impossible to beat. Reading through the history file it’s been very well maintained from new and for the last 6 years has been serviced annually at ASTONDB7. Other than the normal routine service work the car also benefits from a refurbished gearbox fitted in 2018.
HISTORY FILE
This example comes with a first-rate service history with 16 service stamps in the original service book. The first 8 entries are all from Aston Martin main dealers, then 2 at Runnymede Motor Company and the last 6 have all been done with the specialist ASTONDB7; the last of which was done at 45, 343 miles in September 2021. The book also contains a record of 11 completed factory recalls. There is also a file including all of the invoices for the service work carried out at ASTONDB7, the current owner’s purchase invoice from 2014, and MOT certificates going back to 2010. A set of spare keys also accompany the car.
