Leaving the Works on 26/ 10/ 1955 in Maroon and Sheen Grey with P700 headlamps, pleated trim and disc wheels this TC 21/ 100 was one of a select group of the time with its 100 mph capability. Alvis pulled out all the stops to achieve the magical figure which many contemporary sports cars failed to reach with raised compression ratio, improved exhaust manifold and changed axle ratio.
This car is the last but three TC 21 produced and has had only four owners from new. The current owner for twenty years purchased it when barn stored and has expended considerable time and expense restoring the car towards its former glory. Additionally the car has undergone a recent mechanical overhaul.
These cars are a treat to drive capable of pulling away from 10mph in fourth gear.
The three litre in-line six cylinder engine with seven main bearing crankshaft and twin SU carburettors give 100bhp and 100mph.
