We really like these Mercedes W124 Cabriolets and we are pleased to offer another for sale. This Mercedes was first registered on 09 February 1996 and presents incredibly well, it has only had two owners from new, the current owner has owned the car since November 2001 and is only selling as he has made the decision to “go all electric with his cars”.
It has a great specification with the 3. 2 Litre engine, Avantgarde trim level with additional wood etc. and perhaps most importantly the desirable “Sportline” Chassis option 653 that specifies a revised Sports Chassis set up with different springs and dampers and a faster steering rack that really transforms the driveability of these cars.
The full Blue Leather interior is in wonderful condition with no marks and only slight signs of creasing on the driver’s seat in line with the mileage. The Dark Blue original hood shows no signs of wear at the fold points and shows the careful use and care this car has received, the original wind deflector is in the boot ready to use. The Brilliant Silver paint work is gorgeous and shows no signs of corrosion, dents or stone chips, the front wings in particular are free from the rust bubbles that can occur with this series of Mercedes. A modern stereo has been fitted to allow blue tooth connectivity, but the working original radio is also supplied. The desirable AMG wheels adding a final sporting touch to the appearance.
Mechanically the Mercedes is in top condition and everything works as it should and it drives superbly as you would expect from a well maintained Mercedes of this vintage with only 91000 miles. The engine bay is very clean with no signs of any leaks or issues. The degradable engine wiring loom issues have been sorted with a new loom fitted at 88000 miles along with a new ECU to correct a miss-fire. The Mercedes has full Mercedes Benz Dealer and Specialist Service History and has invoices and MOT certificates to support the work carried out and the mileage. The car comes with the full owners pack and both keys.
Only 557 320CE/ E320 Cabriolets were officially imported into the UK making it quite rare, with low owners, a great colour combination, desirable specification and full service history, this Mercedes Cabriolet is a great choice for summer touring displaying all the engineering excellence of Mercedes Cars from this period.
