Description
On the market Alfa Romeo 1900 Coupé’s are extremely rare and sought after. Three series exist, differing by body factory and type. All of them carry a thin skin of alloy, completely handcrafted and individually manufactured. In fact, in 1954 the Alfa Romeo 1900 “Corto” Coupé was priced DM 2. 000 higher than a Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing!
This car is one of the few examples still in existence from the rare first series Tipo I. These models have a lower more elegant roofline without the characteristic triangle windows of the Tipo 2. The doorshutline cuts the rockerpanel and the boot lid could only be opened by a small lever behind the backseats without the exterior press knob.
