Description
A total of ten NCR 600TTs were built in early 1981, using Verlicchi built frames.
They differ from the Ducati designed lightweight Pantah style TT600 from late 1980, and the iconic TT2 of late 1981 onwards.
Of the ten 600TTs, seven were race bikes. Of these, six were mono-shock and one was twin shock.
Three 600TTs were street bikes, and only these are called ‘Tony Rutter Replicas’.
A further two race bikes were build around 1982/ 3 with frames made by DM.
My Tony Rutter Replica is the second of the three street models that were built.
This one having been supplied in kit form, and assembled in West Germany.
The build quality is superb.
The condition is excellent.
Due to German TUV regulations, it was built with a one-off alloy gas tank.
It was recommissioned in 2006, when the 500cc engine was replaced with a more appropriate 600cc unit
I imported it into the United States in 2012 from Germany.
Recent work includes new timing belts, idler and adjuster, coils, ignition pick ups and ignitor units, rebuilt carburetors, battery, oil and filter, brake fluid flush, and spark plugs.
The engine is from a Ducati TL600, believed to be in standard tune.
The frame is stamped with the donor Ducati SL500 frame number.
The running gear are standard Ducati items painted Gold.
The Tennessee title in my name identifies the Make as: Ducati, and the Model as: NCR.
Priced in US Dollars.
