Description
Supplied new in August 2006 by Porsche Centre Guildford, this Artic Silver Metallic Porsche Cayman S covered 32000 miles with 3 owners until May 2013 and was maintained at official Porsche Centers during this time verified by stamps in the service book and associated invoices.
In May 2013, the current owner, a Porsche Owners Club Member, purchased the Cayman from Harbour Cars of Chichester with the aim of creating the perfect Track Day / Fast Road Car. Initially considering a similar period 911 he chose the Cayman for its better mid-engined handling neutrality and precision. The focus of the changes were to loose weight, something Porsche had always done on their more track focused RS models, upgrade the already impressive handling, modify the exhaust and induction systems and add more braking power. The aim being to have a car that could be driven to a race track, enjoyed on the track and then driven home again. Something the owner managed to achieve with numerous trips to great racing tracks in UK and Europe.

The car was fastidiously maintained by the owner with oil changes after every Track Day with a mixture of work carried out by the owner and Independent Porsche Specialists. There is a large stack of invoices mostly from Porscheshop showing the parts supplied and work done amounting to over £10k. The engine was replaced at 77000 miles by a 3. 4 litre engine from a 2007 Porsche Boxster Automatic with 62000 miles sourced through contacts within the Independent Porsche Specialist network. This engine has been modified in the same way as the original but has not been used on Track.
The appearance of the car is stunning with the Matt Orange powder coated 19in Carrera Sports Wheels and Orange details setting off the immaculate Artic Silver body. The sound and way this car drives are nothing short of spectacular. It would cost far more than the asking price to create a similar car from scratch without the benefits of the continuous development and adjustments made by the owner to get the car where it is today.
