• Uprated to Coombs MK II Specification
• Subject of a £50K Restoration
• Rare original features
In Carmen Red with Red St James leather interior, and featuring a rare original Webasto sunroof fitted from new, this stunning numbers matching Jaguar MK II has been the subject of a £50K ground-up restoration and some useful modifications and upgrades to Coombs-style specification.
Featuring the distinctive Coombs-style louvered bonnet and cut away rear arches, the car is fitted with chrome curley hub wire wheels and shod with correct Avon 185X15 tyres. The original colour-matched Webasto sunroof is a fantastic asset for summer motoring and practical for winter use. The body and paintwork are still in excellent condition, due to the care and limited use the car has received since the restoration was completed.
It is equally good under the bonnet, where the fully detailed engine bay features sensible mods like power rack and pinion steering and alternator conversion. The engine is fitted with a six branch stainless steel manifold with big bore twin stainless steel exhaust system, and is mated to a fully synchronised gearbox.
The car has Cooper Craft brake callipers all round with braided stainless steel flexi brake hoses.
Beautifully trimmed in Red St James leather, the car features both a rare Derrington sports steering wheel and period Henley’s glove box, and four seat belts are also fitted.
With genuine Coombs MK 2s worth in excess of £200, 000 this stunning example offers both the looks and performance of the real thing at a fraction of the price.
