Description
Lancia's coupe version of Fulvia was introduced in 1965. It featured Zaccone Mina's trademark 12-degree V 4-cylinder DOHC engine placed horizontally in front of the transaxle. The lowered center of gravity was suspended independently via wishbones with single leaf springs at the front and a beam axle with Panhard rod and leaf springs at the rear. The ensuing precision handling permitted for Lancia's triumphant return to the world of motorsports winning the Italian Rally Championships, International Championship for Manufacturers and European rally Championship. In 1970 Fulvia Coupe Series 2 was unveiled featuring a facelifted body, better brakes and a 5-speed gearbox.
The Series 2 Fulvia presented was sourced in Belgium in early 2020. A month later it was subject of a total no-expenses-spared grounds-up restoration to its factory original specifications. It is now offered with less than 100 km since its restoration and FIVA certificate of authenticity.
