After World War I the demand for larger cars, especially the ones with chauffeur, declined rapidly. So Henry Royce felt compelled to develop a smaller model, the "Twenty" which was introduced in 1922. Its outstanding performance for its size (100 km/ h were possible!) made the Twenty very popular with its owners. The next version of this model was the 20/ 25 HP which was in production between 1929 and 1936. With 3, 9827 cars the small Rolls-Royce was a big success.
The body of our Rolls-Royce 20/ 25 HP is an All-Weather Convertible from T. H. Gill & Son Ltd. It is a particularly high end and one of a kind car. Its gorgeous Art Deco mounts in sterling silver are remarkable. Its first owner was a Mr. Ferguson and the vintage car (MATCHING NUMBERS!) enjoyed a complete restoration by Bowling-Ryan Ltd. In Kearsley near Manchester. Today this classic is registered in Germany.
