THE APPEAL
The “E63” BMW 6-Series was the third and arguably most stylish of Chris Bangle’s “falme-sided” BMWs. Introduced at the 2003 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, the 6-Series was offered as both a Coupé and a Convertible. It was developed off the platform of the E60 5-Series, but with a shorter chassis and wheelbase and a wider track for better handling and agility. It was lighter, too, so notably quicker – indeed, in the eyes of many enthusiasts it’s the best non M-badged BMW of the early-to-mid 2000s.
This one is particularly desirable. Not only is it a 650Ci but it’s also the range-topping convertible model with an incredible spec and ultra-rare Coral Red leather, which sits handsomely alongside the black exterior. Furthermore, it has a full main dealer service history, having had a major inspection by BMW dealership Vines of Gatwick just over 500 miles ago.

SUMMARY
With a comprehensive main dealer history and just two previous keepers, this is a superb example of BMW’s modern classic grand tourer.
As classy and elegant big convertibles go, the 6-Series represents astonishing value and this one is a massively appealing proposition, thanks not only to its well-documented history, but also the colour scheme – that Coral Red interior looks fantastic, set off beautifully by the black exterior. A fabulous future classic in fine overall condition.
