THE APPEAL
The BMW ‘E60’ generation of 5-Series had a hard act to follow. The successor to the world-renowned E39, often described as the ‘best car in the world’ when it was new, had to be good to carry the mantle – and the good news is that it did.
With daring styling, albeit not as extreme as the 2001 7-Series, the mid-size executive was a comfortable and lively performer with terrific handling. It was a worthy successor to the E39 and a fine car, with good examples now becoming increasingly rare.
This one is in wonderful order, having had just two previous owners. It’s a Carbon Black 530i M-Sport that has been enthusiast-owned since 2011, with a comprehensive service history and is presented in lovely overall order.

SUMMARY
The E60 is a car that’s on the cusp of becoming a classic now that 20 years have passed since it made its debut. And this one is a really lovely example, with a comprehensive history from a life where it has been clearly well-loved.
It’s a fabulous E60, made even better by that wonderfully smooth M54 straight-six and the fabulous black and grey colour scheme. There aren’t many left as good as this - it deserves to be enjoyed, cherished and preserved.
