NO RESERVE - 1993 Mercedes-Benz 320CE Automatic (W124)

Highlights

  • Top of the range 217bhp Coupe
  • Mercedes 5 speed Automatic gearbox
  • Family owned since 1996

The Appeal

Produced between 1992 and 1994, the W124 model 320CE was built in limited numbers in the traditional manner of classic Mercedes-Benz coupes and convertibles, being the very best specified and most luxuriously equipped model in the range. Outwardly similar to its smaller engined siblings, the 320CE was powered by the 3,199cc, Type M104, 24-valve, twin overhead-camshaft six producing 217bhp, good enough for a top speed in excess of 145mph in the case of the manual transmission version, with the automatic not far behind. Used by the Seller for longer trips to the South of France and the West Country it has been in their family since 1996 as a second car. Reported to be running well it is now being offered for sale as it has not been driven much recently, in fact it has covered only 9 miles since its MoT in may this year.

Summary

Purchased from a family friend in 1996 the Mercedes has proved to be a reliable companion and has been used for longer journeys to France and around the UK.  Having covered plenty of miles, and having lived on London streets it’s showing some wear, but nothing that couldn’t be rectified with some effort. With registration changed to the Seller’s name in July this year she has decided that she no longer needs two cars so it’s being offered for sale.  She tells us that it is reliable and comfortable and she will be sad to see it go..
