NO RESERVE - 1990 Ford Granada Scorpio 2.9 Auto (1st Gen)

Highlights

  • Just 58,064 miles indicated
  • Will come with a fresh MOT
  • High specification
  • Fewer than 50 on the road
  • An honest example presented exactly as it is

The Appeal

Based on a stretched Sierra platform and intended to replace the Granada, the Scorpio (as it became known post 1991) was a high specification executive saloon, built to take the fight to BMW and Mercedes.
Offered with a wide range of engines and specifications, it never quite managed to topple the German hegemony, but it was certainly a success for Ford at the time.
This example comes with low indicated mileage, having been in the possession of its current owner since 2010. With a good maintenance record and high specification, this now very rare saloon is sure to be a hit amongst fans of the blue oval.

  • Wind deflectors have been fitted to the front windows

  • Numerous spare parts also available by separate negotiation
  • New Exhaust, New front section and New middle section. Original rear section is in good condition as shown by the MOT

The Mechanics

  • 2,933cc ‘Cologne’ V6

  • Rear wheel drive and factory ABS
  • The engine bay looks tidy, with surface corrosion to the majority of components
  • We’re told by the vendor that the car drives well, with no smoke, leaks or significant mechanical issues
  • The front & mid sections of the exhaust have been replaced with new and the rear section is in very good order.
