The Appeal
A rare surviving TR7 Fixed Head Coupe in original condition is always a special thing to come across, and this one, despite some obvious attention that’s required to the bodywork, has an interior that belies its age. The existing paperwork shows the previous two owners were husband and wife and the current owner advises the car was left in a garage for some twenty years until he purchased it in 2016.
Originally purchased with the intention to sympathetically restore, the project was cut short due to the arrival of a baby, and now must be handed over, preferably to someone that isn’t afraid of a little welding. The engine has been fettled with, and various new components fitted to get it running, which it does, but the story ends there, and the car will need fully recommissioning before getting back on the road.

The Exterior

The Summary
They were never a particularly powerful sports car but their lightweight body made them feel sporty enough and that characteristic ‘wedge shape’ made them a unique sight on the roads even back then. The fixed head coupe is certainly a rare sight, and this one, in such original condition could, with a little TLC, be something very special indeed.
