Lamborghini Miura 'Jota Edition' Book

The Book

The Lamborghini Miura Book is an incredible opus dedicated to one of the most iconic and evocative performance cars of all time, billed as “the definitive book on the definitive supercar” by its publisher.

It is almost certainly the fastest selling motoring book of all time, having sold out within two weeks of being available.
Offered here is “the definitive version” of the definitive book; the sought-after ‘Jota Edition’, which was the very last volume published. While the standard book was limited to 762 numbered copies, only 75 examples of the Jota Edition exist.
The special version is uniquely hand bound in black leather with a metallic burgundy stripe, as a nod to Bob Wallace’s legendary Jota development car. The book is presented in a clamshell Solander box, which is clad in silver museum-quality buckram cloth, and embossed with the famous ‘Miura’ logo and the Kidston emblem.
Inside, there is a recess trimmed in burgundy ‘Suedel’ material to house the book. On top sits a portfolio unique to the Jota Edition, glad in black leather and ‘Panno Beige’ Miura seat cloth.

The portfolio contains additional items only found in this edition, including reproduction engineering drawings, two 1960s cartoons by renowned artist Russell Brockbank, a period press photograph, and an ‘in rodaggio’ windscreen sticker.
This Jota Edition comes with all of the original packaging as shown, including the protective outer cardboard box. Furthermore, the seller also invested in a flight case in which to store the item, adding a heavy duty layer of protection, and this is also included in the sale.
The book itself is clearly marked as ‘Jota Edition’ inside, and contains several new pages of content, including a foreword from Gian Paolo Dallara - the last survivor of the three individuals credited with the Miura’s inception - and a new introduction from Simon Kidston.

There is a signed ‘chassis plate’ laid inside that shows this particular book as number 27 of the 75 produced, while a ‘Miura in profile’ orange bookmark is another unique addition.
The Lamborghini Miura Book presents a remarkable volume of information in exhaustive detail on the Italian marque’s famous V12 coupe, and is the result of nearly two decades of research led by Simon Kidston.

The book is arguably a work of art in its own right, while the depth and accuracy of information contained within it make it an irresistible tome for any classic car aficionado.
The Lamborghini Miura Book covers every aspect of the landmark supercar, from its conception, design and prototyping; through to the team that delivered and tested production cars; and the granular detail of changes in specification, colours, performance data and period literature.

There are hundreds of high-quality photographs inside, many of which were never previously published.
For the dedicated classic Lamborghini enthusiast, this is the ultimate version of the definitive opus on what many believe to be the first true supercar.

A remarkable automotive reference book; even the standard edition sold out quickly, and as one of just 75 made, this very special ‘Jota Edition’ is a truly unmissable opportunity for aficionados of the marque.
