If you know the Alpina B11 you’ll know that that was the 7 series Alpina designation and that is why this 635 BMW is unique, in that it was upgraded with all the important Alpina upgrades taken from a 7 Series Alpina B11 donor car.
That included all the running gear, brakes, wheels and of course the engine, gearbox, diff and badges, including the Alpina sporting steering wheel.
So a rare car for sure and one that would suit a collector or it would be a great classic to drive, with its sharp looks and Alpina added performance.

Recent work to power steering
Real benefit from increased BHP
Since its conversion the BMW has been used regularly but covered very little mileage, and is now ready to get back on the road again having had very little use since its last service which was a couple of years ago.
The car drives really well with great acceleration and very smooth gear changes.
The owner does advise that there is a bit of an electrical glitch with the on-board computer, which constantly tells you that you need to fill the windscreen washer bottle and have the car serviced, neither of which is true. The owner believes that this is down to the reserve batteries for the system that need to be replaced. He also reports that the air conditioning is not working.
The Summary
Already a very desirable car this particular 635 CSi offers that little bit more than usual, being in very nice overall condition inside and out, and being the only one to be running with the Alpina B11 running gear.
