The Appeal

Decades of great cars like the Lotus Cortina, Escort Mexico and Sierra Cosworth mean that any fast Ford is a car to look forward to. The arrival of the current Mk4 Focus especially so. Taking the engine from the previous RS and adding an altogether more understated style, the Mk4 ST is one potent sleeper.

Reviewers laud a car that is as quick as an Escort Cosworth and more immediate, precise and responsive than its predecessors. All that in a crisply styled package that neatly underplays its potential, can carry four in comfort with loads of luggage and is equipped like a luxury hatchback.

This 2020 ST’s vibrant Orange Fury colour scheme adds back a lot of the drama. It is neatly accented by black trim, rear privacy glass and 19in dark grey factory alloys. Inside there is a leather and suede Recaro cabin with desirable features like heated wheel and seats, heads up display, sat nav and a quality Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The car has been very well looked after. Alongside the well kept exterior and interior there is a run of annual servicing - irrespective of mileage - to late August 2024. The MOT runs to September 2025 with no advisories. A great example of a superb addition to the fast Ford lineage.
