The Appeal
Hand-built in Worcestershire by The Pembleton Motor Company, the V-Sport 3 wheeler represents the absolute epitome of joyful, raucous open-top motoring.
Initially founded by hill-climbing racer and engineer Phil Gregory and now overseen by his son, Guy, The Pembleton Motor Company has at its core the aims of lightweight motoring excellence, fantastic build quality and above all, fun. Using all new components in its construction, the V-Sport delivers on all of these aims with aplomb.
From the moment you climb into the comfortable and beautifully finished cockpit and fire up the V-twin engine, a broad smile becomes permanently etched across your face. The combination of the fabulous exhaust note with the very real sensation of speed, accentuated by its low centre of gravity, make for an unmatched and unforgettable driving experience.
The particular example offered here is essentially a new vehicle, having covered only 1,220 miles from new and benefitting from being garaged whilst not in use. Presented in a wonderful specification of exposed aluminium bodywork over a brown interior, this particular V-Sport 3 wheeler represents a truly special opportunity to experience motoring joy of the highest order.

After climbing down into the cockpit of the V-Sport you are immediately struck by the beautiful simplicity of its interior. First to catch the eye is the handsome turned aluminium dashboard containing only the essentials - speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and warning lights. Adjacent to this is the gearchange, adorned with a large and purposeful gear knob, falling conveniently close to hand and being only inches away from the steering wheel.
Both stunning to look at and eminently practical, the interior of the V-Sport is designed to be able to handle all kinds of weather – an essential quality here in the UK! Of note, this example is also provided with its factory-fitted tonneau cover.
Needless to say, given the low mileage of this example, the interior condition would have to be described as virtually as new.
The Exterior
- Gorgeous hand-formed and rivetted aluminium body
- Numerous charming details such as leather bonnet straps, twin aero screens, and bullet style wingmirrors
- Fabulous condition as would be expected for a vehicle of this age and mileage
Sitting low and with a purposeful stance, the V-Sport simply looks stunning with its bare aluminium bodywork glistening in the late afternoon sunlight. Successfully combining handsome period looks with modern technology, Pembleton deliver a unique vehicle that just looks ‘oh so right’.
The twin exhaust pipes running down each flank are evocative of classic racing machinery and, alongside the matt black V-twin engine up front, hint at the V-Sport’s considerable performance credentials.
The bodywork and trim of this particular example are yet again in fantastic condition and after a good clean and polish we’re sure they would appear as new.
The Mechanics
- 744cc air-cooled twin cylinder engine developing 52 HP, equivalent to 175 BHP/tonne
- 4-speed manual gearbox driving front wheels
- All-round disc brakes
- Commitment from Pembleton to provide first service free of charge to new owner
- Capable of returning up to 60 MPG on a conservative run
- Quick, light, and strong construction
On the road the Pembleton is a feast for the senses, its characterful and raucous exhaust note providing a superb accompaniment to the feeling of speed and dynamism felt behind the wheel.
The vendor reports that the V-Sport is in excellent running condition, which is only to be expected really, given the minimal mileage it has so far covered in its young life. Its punchy air-cooled twin cylinder engine is reported to be capable of 0 to 60 MPH in 7.2 seconds and, for the brave, a top speed of 110 MPH.
The vendor also informs us that he has spoken to Pembleton directly and they have confirmed they would be happy to honour the V-Sport’s first free-of-charge service for its next owner.
Summary
Undoubtedly at its best tearing it up through the countryside, the V-Sport turns every journey into an adventure and is the perfect antidote to the banality of modern motoring. The example offered here is in truly fabulous condition and is sure to provide its next custodian with many hours of motoring joy!
