The Appeal
The auto rickshaw goes by many names, but it is perhaps best-known as the 'Tuk Tuk'. These three-wheeled wonders offer millions of people transport, remaining popular as taxis and private motor vehicles in tropical and sub-tropical countries to this day. They are, however, a very rare sight in the UK, so if you fancy getting your hands on one, here's an unmissable opportunity.
This 2017 Tuk Tuk was built by the largest Tuk Tuk manufacturer in the world - Bajaj Auto.
The vendor bought the Tuk Tuk Compact 4S new, imported it to the UK and has since used it exclusively for their personal enjoyment. It's covered a mere 1,100 kilometres and remains in very good original condition.
Its dual-fuel capability allows it to run on both LPG and petrol, making it economical and versatile. The vendor notes they have always driven it on LPG and it cost them £7.00 to fill tank upon which it would cover 150 km.
The vendor tells us:
"The TukTuk was bought for fun and used with my adopted daughter on the school run. My children are now older and apart from occasional use on the campsite the Tuk Tuk has been in storage for the last 3 years. Max speed 55kph which is definitely fast enough. Puts a smile on you face every time. More fun than any sports car I have owned. Similar to driving a Lambretta with clutch and twist gears on left side of handlebar."
