Highlights
- Hugely collectible
- Stunning Carrera White paintwork
The Appeal
Few cars hold the cache of the 991 GT3RS. A genuine homologation machine, sharing many parts with Porsche’s RSR factory racer, it’s quite rightly regarded by most enthusiasts as one of the greatest performance cars ever made.
This beautifully specced model comes with genuinely low mileage, having been meticulously cared for and benefits from a truly eye-catching white-and-black colour scheme. As an example of one of the most sought after cars in the world, this is difficult to best…

Refusing to hide its motorsport roots, the cabin of this GT3RS is a cavalcade of Alcantara, leather, carbon fibre and chunky, black painted roll-cage. It’s all in splendid condition too, as befitting a machine with such low mileage.
From the black carpets to the Alcantara and leather seats, dash and headliner, all of the upholstery presents in excellent condition, with the merest hints of any use. Much the same can be said for the switchgear, instruments and driving controls. It all looks nearly showroom and shows no evidence of notable wear we could see.
We love the motorsport inspired touches such as the roll-cage and yellow belts. They add a real sense of drama and fun to proceedings. Yet there’s also some practicality, with a reasonable sized front luggage compartment that’s big enough for a couple of overnight bags (depending on how heavily you pack).
Of course, you will find some minor scuffs or blemishes to some of the plastics as the car has actually been used, but we would certainly describe it as being in overall superb condition.
The Exterior
- Carrera White paintwork
- Full GT3RS aero package
- Original RS centre-lock alloys
From the outside, there’s no mistaking the GT3RS’s intent - it’s a homologation special through and through. That aero isn’t just for show either, it offers a meaty 350Kg of downforce at 186mph, with half the downforce arriving at 93mph. The louvres in the front wings relieve pressure in the wheel-wells, reducing front axle lift by a whopping 30%.
The motorsport influence doesn’t stop at the styling either - with carbon fibre wings and a magnesium sheet roof (which is actually lighter than carbon fibre), the centre-of-gravity is lowered over the GT3 and lesser 991s.
It also benefits from full “stormtrooper spec” – scintillating Carrera White paintwork with glossy black trim. All of the external trim presents very well, with no damage we could see, and no signs of significant wear. It’s not a brand-new car, so there are sure to be one or two minor blemishes, but nothing we could see. In reality, the paint, trim and body panels look to be in excellent condition.
The car rides on 20” front and 21” rear RS alloys, complete with centre-locks. They’re shod in Dunlop Sport Maxx Race tyres that looks to be in excellent condition with good tread remaining. At the front they’re 265/35s, with monstrous 325/30s at the rear. There’s no signs we could see of tell-tale “pebble rash” around the arches, indicating that this car has always been driven considerately.
Underneath, everything looks clean and straight, with the undertrays appearing to be nicely secure and undamaged.
The Mechanics
- 3,996cc flat-six
- 7-speed PDK semi-auto
- PDK sport mode
- Porsche carbon-ceramic brakes
- Active exhaust
As befits such an iconic performance car, performance from the atmospheric 4.0-litre flat-six does not disappoint. Delivering at least 493bhp (Porsche was always a little coy about the true output) to the rear wheels, 0-62mph is dispatched in 3.3 seconds and, on track, you can achieve 190mph+ while revving that howling flat-six out to 8,800rpm.
This performance advantage over the standard GT3 is achieved via a host of parts directly taken from Porsche’s RSR race car, including: forged aluminium suspension components, uprated crankshaft, new con-rods, new camshafts, uprated pistons and a redesigned oil system.
The vendor tells us that the car performs and drives just as you’d expect, with no leaks, smoke or other mechanical issues. They have said that it will be supplied with a fresh MOT.
Summary
There are many homologation specials, but few are as well resolved, usable and collectible as the 991 GT3RS. Porsche clearly poured all of their motorsport experience into creating what may well be the ultimate road-going performance car.
This beautiful example has been cherished, very well kept and comes in a brilliant specification with unbelievably low mileage. Whether you’re a collector, a track-day enthusiast or just love a great performance car for weekend drives, this has to be at the top of your list.
