The Appeal

We weren't the only ones to shed a tear in 2016 when Land Rover finally ceased production of the original Defender. These were the last cars that could trace their lineage all the way back to first Series Land Rovers in 1948, so we witnessed not just the end of a model, but the end of an era.

Land Rover chose to mark the occasion with the 'Heritage Edition' - a very special Defender inspired by the brand's illustrious history. It came brimming with 'Easter eggs' for all us Land Rover nerds to spot: Note the iconic 'Grasmere' Green paintwork, the red and yellow colour coding to the gear/transfer levers, retro 'Lightning bolt' badges and 'HUE 166' motifs - a reverential nod to the very first production Land Rover.

Just 400 were to be made for the UK market and many were snapped by collectors, rightly recognising that these would become a greatly sought-after modern classic. We're delighted to offer this superb 2015 example which has just 4,130 miles under its belt. Presented in impeccable original condition, benefiting from full JLR service history and boasting an entirely untarnished MOT record, this Land Rover is ready to meet its next custodian

In line with the ultra-low mileage and having been carefully stored, this Land Rover is presented in impeccable order

Heritage-style grille, badging, mud flaps, and headlamps all present and in fine shape
Colour-coded steel wheels in excellent order and fitted with four matching Goodyear Wrangler tyres
Retains its Jim Hallam Land Rovers dealer plate - also retro-inspired
Full 'Ebony' & 'Almond' interior trim in superb, barely used condition
The upholstery and controls do not appear at all worn or discoloured

While it nears its tenth birthday, this Land Rover has covered so few miles and been so well looked-after that it's practically showroom-fresh. The vendor does not advise us of any known signs of wear or deterioration and the photos speak for themselves. There's very little to report besides reiterating that this Land Rover has been serviced by JLR in accordance with the factory schedule in spite of the ultra-low mileage. Having only covered 4,130 miles, there's not likely to be any measurable mechanical wear and we're assured that the Defender drives brilliantly. Unsurprisingly, it has never failed an MOT or accrued any advisories.
