The Appeal

This Transporter camper is really something quite special. It is the result of a collaboration between Danbury and Overland Motorhomes which resulted in its clever, lightweight 1.5m aluminium ‘doubleback’ rear pod.

Combined with the pop top roof it creates a hugely versatile van. This effectively doubles the Transporter’s internal usable space, providing kitchen and side bench seating functions including a table, while enabling the double bed to remain fully extended. Yet with motorhome-sized living quarters, it is still possible to rock up to your local supermarket in a LWB Transporter, without being banished to the far reaches of the overflow car park!

Finished in attractive special-order Olympian blue metallic paintwork and known as ‘Belle’ with a personalised number plate, this 2014 Transporter is a low mileage example with just two registered keepers. The condition is impressive and matched by the mechanicals. In January 2025 a Volkswagen main dealer installed a brand new 180bhp 2L turbodiesel VW engine.

The sleeping pod doubles the living space in just 45 seconds at the flick of a switch. The elevated camper specification includes bespoke rock-n-roll bed, a full kitchen setup with microwave oven, and a Reimo elevating roof. There is a full length Fiamma external side awing fitted to expand the living area still further.

In great running order and with MOT to January 2026 this bespoke camper is ready for summer adventures.
