The Appeal

We’re glad Land Rover has made a success of its new Defender; the name lives on in a new luxury SUV. But we’re more than a little sad production of the original came to an end. To many, it remains the definitive Land Rover - a vehicle that can trace its roots back to the first Series 1s of the late 1940s.
This one’s rather special. The vendor bought this seven-seater factory Station Wagon new in 2014 and has since used it for their off-road driver training business. That means it’s mostly been driven on private land at low speeds, undergoing weekly health checks and a rigorous service schedule with the vendor’s in-house mechanics, who service it approximately once every three months.
This Defender has just 13,042 miles on the clock and Land Rover fans will know how rare that makes it. As the photographs attest, it’s in very good original condition, especially the chassis which has been treated to a recent cleanup and WaxOyl protection. There are two new BF Goodrich tyres fitted to the front years and the advisory-free MOT runs until July 2025.
If you’re looking for a Defender that’s ready to go, this one ticks all the right boxes.
