The Appeal

No one does drama quite like Lamborghini. And for the very purest bedroom-wall-poster, petrol-drenched, adrenaline fuelled fantasies, nothing comes close to a V12-engined raging bull.
But this particular hypercar isn’t just about the aesthetics. From the moment you flip the missile-release inspired starter and that massive V12 bellows into life, you know that this is a very serious driver’s car too.
One of just 100 models produced worldwide, this incredibly special and rare machine comes with extremely low mileage, a fine history and the kind of spec that stops hearts from 50 paces. If you’ve always dreamed of making that bedroom wall poster a reality, this is the one you want.

  • The car has always been garaged in a climate controlled environment
  • Little used, and only on dry, sunny days

The Interior

  • Diamond stitched leather upholstery
  • Parking sensors and reversing camera
  • CD/radio with two SD card slots
  • Hands-free phone connection
  • Heated seats and air conditioning
  • Electric windows
  • Heated and power-fold electric door mirrors
  • Satellite navigation
While many supercars and hypercars have quite restrained interior designs, Lamborghini went all in on the styling of the Aventador’s cabin, and it’s all the better for it. First you notice the smooth leather upholstery that graces nearly every surface. Nero Ade primary leather is well contrasted with Giallo Quercus secondary leather and contrast stitching. It’s a colour that was specially designed to complement the exterior finish and does so beautifully.
The leather itself here is in nearly new condition. There is the vaguest hint of use to the seat squabs, but to all intents and purposes, it is as it left the factory. Much the same is true of the lovely diamond stitched headlining that really lifts the interior and appears to be beautifully finished.
Black carpets and floor mats run through the cabin and show no evidence of wear, damage or staining that we could see.
Elements of the cabin are splashed with carbon fibre trim, which shows very well and suits the car perfectly. In fact, all of the switchgear and driving controls are presented in superb order – the accelerator pedal and foot rest are even still in their original factory plastic wrap.
Everywhere you look, material quality and level of finish is absolutely top drawer, with diamond and hexagon motifs used extensively, which neatly echoes the exterior design. It should go without saying, but the vendor assures us that everything in the cabin works exactly as it should, with no issues.

The Exterior

  • Giallo Maggio paintwork
  • Carbon fibre construction over aluminium sub-frames
  • Optional larger App-Tech forged wheels
  • Iconic scissor doors
  • Unique ‘50 Anniversario’ styling pack
Finished in striking Giallo Maggio with contrasting matte black sills, front splitter and rear diffuser, you certainly won’t lose your Aventador in a car park. It’s a stunning colour scheme, and one that deliberately references the most popular colour scheme that Lamborghini’s first supercar, the Miura, was offered in. Translating as “May Yellow”, it also neatly hints at the company’s founding – which occurred in May of 1963.
Overall, the paintwork is beautifully presented, with no damage, scuffs or blemishes that we could see. The owner tells us there are one or two minor stone chips at the front, but otherwise the finish is very much as it was when new.
To help keep the weight of this mighty machine down, the chassis is a carbon fibre semi-monocoque design, finished with carbon fibre panels and with aluminium sub-frames. It makes the bodywork not only very light, but incredibly stiff. All of the panels look to be in very good condition – we saw no cracks, damage or evidence of repair anywhere.
As previously mentioned, the car was subject to some front end cosmetic damage, which was repaired by a Lamborghini main dealer and given warranty. All works look to have been completed to a very high standard.
Unique to the ‘50 Anniversario’ model, the trim and bodykit is also presented in exceptionally fine fettle. The wide front splitter features enlarged intakes for better brake cooling and airflow, while the vast rear diffuser enjoys larger mesh areas for better engine and gearbox cooling. One detail we really must point your attention to is the hexagonal fuel flap, beneath which lurks a very tactile and smartly finished octagonal billet fuel cap – a lovely detail for the owner to appreciate.
That iconic rear deck features a brilliantly styled clear triple louvre, putting that might powerplant on display as it should be. All of the trim and the unique ‘50’ badging appears to be present and correct, with no wear or damage we could observe.
This example is riding on the optional, larger 10-spoke App-Tech forged wheels, 21-inch at the rear and 20-inch at the front. They’re finished in gloss black and show very well, with no signs of kerbing or lacquer peel. Wrapped in factory correct Pirelli P-Zero tyres (255/20 fronts, 355/25 rears), they provide the finishing touch to what is a truly stunning vehicle.

The Mechanics

  • 6,498cc 60-degree naturally aspirated V12
  • All-wheel drive system
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes
  • ISR seven-speed double clutch AMT transmission
  • Nose lift function for speed bumps and entry ramps
The Aventador has always been about big numbers, and nowhere is that more true than under the engine cover. There loiters a thing of exquisite mechanical violence – Lamborghini’s 6.5-litre atmospheric V12. Offering a truly breathtaking 720hp, 509lb ft and a redline of 8,250rpm, to say it’s the main event is to undersell it somewhat. Let’s just say you’ll be seeking out tunnels at every opportunity. And that it spits blue flame on the over-run. If that doesn’t sell it to you, then it may be an idea to check your pulse.
Along with three driving modes, that seven-speed paddle shift transmission and all-wheel drive, it means that the 0-100Km/h charge disappears in a barely credible 2.9 seconds, while the car hurtles its way to a staggering 350Km/h (217mph).
Keeping everything pointed in the right direction, Lamborghini fitted the Anniversario with mighty carbon-ceramic brakes and six-pot callipers front and back, as well as fully independent double wishbone suspension with in-board Öhlins dampers all round. The result is a confidence inspiring, sure-footed driving experience that still has the ability to thrill with every kilometre covered.
We’re assured by the vendor that the car is in tip-top mechanical condition, with absolutely no problems or faults. In fact, they tell us that “every drive is an adventure”. And we can well believe that.

Summary

Vanishingly rare, beautifully presented and striking from every angle, this Aventador 50 Anniversario is a true “once in a generation” car. Probably one of the last naturally aspirated V12s that will ever be produced, it’s a fantastic way to celebrate one of the all-time great drivetrains.
Whoever purchases this is not only acquiring something that will make them grin every time they see it, they’ll be a custodian of one of the greatest hypercars ever made.
