The Appeal
When it comes to subtle, understated luxury, Lexus has long been the class leader. A high-end offshoot of the Toyota Motor Corporation, the brand consistently delivers some of the best-equipped and best-driving executive saloons around, along with the odd curveball like the superb LFA supercar.
They're still a relatively unusual sight in the UK. Indeed, most Lexus (Lexi?) are the preserve of the Japanese Domestic Market, with some making their way to the UK as JDM imports. Not this one, though. This 2012 Lexus LS 600h L was supplied new to the UK in right-hand drive.
These cars are so rare, it's worth a brief introduction:
The LS 600h is built around the 'Lexus Hybrid Drive' system, using a 5.0-litre 32-valve alloy V8 in conjunction with no fewer than three high torque electric motors to produce an impressive 438 hp combined. As if that weren't clever enough, it puts that power down via an ultra-smooth CVT gearbox. Clever stuff.
This s012 example boasts a range-topping factory specification, with a 19-speaker Mark Levinson sound system and a coveted rear passenger rest package with massage, heating and cooling functions and electric curtains. Adaptive cruise control makes long-distance motorway work a breeze, and there's a wealth of other toys besides...
With a comprehensive service history and recent maintenance, this Lexus is ready to impress a new owner.
