The Appeal
The X100 XK8 reinvented what a modern Jaguar coupe could be but the aluminium-bodied X150 fully lived up to the potential. Beautifully styled by Ian Callum and combining clever, lightweight construction with even more powerful engines, the new car was the ultimate Jaguar GT.
A 2009 facelift brought a new version of the 5litre V8 engine that delivered 380bhp in naturally aspirated form. The Portfolio package enabled buyers to personalise their new cars from a range of high end options.
This 2012 XK 5litre convertible has that Portfolio pack and is smartly finished in contrasting Polaris White with Warm Charcoal interior. Very well maintained by its long term owner it demonstrates why these capable drop tops are so revered by enthusiasts.
