The Appeal
Perhaps they knew it would be the last of its kind. Whatever the reason, Mitsubishi’s engineers pulled out all the stops for the Evo X. A new engine, the lighter 4B11T with durable chains rather than belts. And clever technology, like the lightning-quick TC-SST semi-automatic gearbox and S-AWC all wheel drive system.
Naturally, it was blistering quick too. 60mph arrived in a shade over 5secs. This was supercar territory.
This 2011 Evo X spent the first part of its life on the salt-free roads of Japan before arriving in the UK in 2016. It has been well cared for since by its handful of owners. They’ve kept the car largely standard - just some minor upgrades along the way - and the mileage down. It has covered little over 56,000 miles with a run of service stamps to support this.
The Evo X is the final iteration of an illustrious, rally-infused line. This one looks smart in burgundy metallic, very well kept and usefully largely standard, just as those perfectionist Mitsubishi engineers intended. The car will be freshly serviced prior to sale.
The vendor tells us:
“Great driving car that has never given any trouble. It’s a super fast performance car that is not for the faint-hearted.”
