The Appeal

Land Rover continued producing the original Defender for as long as it possibly could. But, alas, it would have to end sooner or later, and the very last one rolled out of the Solihull factory gates in 2016. Almost a decade on, well-kept, low-mileage examples are increasingly hard to come by, so Defenders like this highly specified 90 XS from 2011 are simply too good to miss. Having covered a mere 16,800 miles from new, this is surely among the best on the market today.

As you'll note from the photographs, the Defender is in very good condition throughout, and it also comes with a year's MOT. Unusually, this Land Rover has never failed an MOT nor picked up a single advisory during testing - an impeccable record indeed.

With a history file, including full MOT history and all original keys and documentation, this Defender is eminently worthy of your consideration. But now the time has come for a new custodian to enjoy this lovely Defender.

The History and Paperwork

• Believed to be the first keeper was Land Rover
• Subsequently two private registered keepers since initial registration
• The second keeper purchased the vehicle in 2012 and the 3rd owner acquired it in 2015
• 16,800 warranted miles
• Comes with both sets of keys, book pack, V5C, locking wheel nut, current MOT, and full MOT history
• There are three service stamps in the service booklet, all of which were carried out by Stratstone Land Rover main dealer in Buckinghamshire
• The services were carried out at 4,671 miles on 03/10/2012, then 6,461 miles on 08/10/2013, and lastly at 10,512 miles on 20/10/2014

The Condition

• A very presentable example, with minimal signs of wear in line with the ultra-low mileage
• Straight alloy bodywork with well-fitting doors and bonnet
• The paint finish is smart for its age; the vendor notes a couple of very minor scratches on the driver's side sill below the door
• Light corrosion underneath, visible in photos, but nothing untoward for a 15-year-old vehicle
• Fitted with matching Goodyear Wrangler MT/R off-road tyres with good tread remaining
• The vendor notes some road noise from tyres due to their off-road design
• XS specification includes heated front seats, a heated front screen and electric front windows
• Original Land Rover DIN stereo
• No notable wear apparent or reported to the upholstery and controls
• Rear fold-down seats look appear practically unused
• Never been smoked in and no signs of any dogs having been in the vehicle
