The Appeal
Jaguar have always been known to use their market knowledge to their advantage, catering for traditional customers with rewarding results but the company needed a rethink. The X150 generation of XK did much bring Jaguar into the new age and also gave the Germans something to seriously think about.
Launched in 2006, with a more chiselled and less retrospective design, the XK was brimming full of technological feats. This included an aluminium bonded and riveted monocoque with aluminium body panels but rather more significantly, a distinct muting of interior wood trim. Subject to a facelift in 2009, the minor but effective visual alterations were boosted by the inclusion of a new engine. Capped at 155 mph, even the aspirated version of the engine demonstrated the potential of the new torquey-but-revvy 5.0-litre V8 engine.

This 2011 Portfolio edition of the 5.0-litre V8 XK is finished in liquid silver with an ivory leather interior. It has been with its owner since 2011 when it was just 5 months old, having been initially registered by the supplying main dealer. Complemented by an annual service since new, including a very recent one carried out just 200 miles ago, the presentation of this car is near perfect highlighted by an interior that could almost pass easily as new. Sold with an MOT to March 2024, it also comes with a tracker subscription to June 2024 and comes complete with two keys and its original dealer's wallet with booklets.

Summary
Thanks to Ian Callum’s delicate styling treatment, the XK’s design has worn the years rather well, which has no doubt helped its credentials as a modern classic. At the moment these finely crafted cars represent exceptional value for money, more so when you consider this pampered one-owner car with a near-perfect interior, a robust service history and a pleasing exterior presentation.
Supremely comfortable, with plenty of practicality with the added allure of a V8 power plant, there has never been a better time to buy a Jaguar XK.
