The Appeal
Perhaps one of the rarest Minis in the little car’s extensive history, the World Championship 50 was released to commemorate the back-to-back Formula One success of the Cooper Cars team back in 1959 and 1960. It was an idea touted by John Cooper’s son, John Michael Cooper, resulting in one of the most desirable Minis ever produced.
From its attractive Connaught Green and Pepper White paintwork, the John Cooper signatures and the attractive interior, this is a simply sublime example of the extensive range of finishes the eclectic little car has carried over the years.
Highly impressive Connaught Green and Pepper White paintwork
Lashings of John Cooper Works branding
Car has recently received a two-stage machine polish and ceramic coating
Side-mounted production number
Some light, very minor chips to paint (3 in total) - a few millimetres each on bonnet and rear boot lip
Some minor ‘road rash’ to the front bumper, commensurate with the car’s use
All lenses, trims and glasswork presents beautifully with no faults we can highlight
No chips or fractures to any of the bodywork or trims
Pepper White roof is clean and well-kept
Car is sitting on its original and unmarked R112 jet black alloy wheels, with a superb set of Hankook tyres
Black branded alloys are picked out with bright red callipers
Vendor has a small personal collection of original OEM parts. These were purchased in order to maintain the cars original condition if and when required, which they’re happy to part with for an agreed additional amount
Underside of the car is in exceptional fettle with very minor signs of wear
An incredibly rare limited edition of a truly iconic car, you’d be hard-pressed to find a head-turning Mini with more pedigree than this one. Not to be missed!
