The Appeal

We've always coveted the Cayman and Boxster. Unlike Porsche's flagship 911 which has to keep pushing the performance envelope in order to remain competitive, you get the impression that these more junior models were developed for the joy of driving. And there's a lot to be said for that.

Porsche fans will know that the 987.2 is a particular highlight in the Cayman/Boxster back catalogue. The second version of the car's second generation, you could option the then all-new PDK seven-speed gearbox - a very advanced system that can change cars far faster than any manual or conventional automatic transmission. An all-new engine was also unveiled for this generation with a very impressive 252 horsepower in naturally aspirated 2.9-litre form.

This 2009 Cayman stands out with its striking red metallic paint and comes with all duties and VAT paid following importation to the Netherlands from the UAE. It's highly specified and presents very well for its age, while the odometer shows just 98,352 kilometres.
