2009 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Convertible PDK 997.2

Highlights

  • Full service history with Porsche and specialists
  • £10,530 of optional extras included
  • Recent comprehensive maintenance work completed
  • MOT valid until October 2025 with no advisories

The Appeal

It's easy to get caught up in the minutiae of 911 folklore, but all you really need to know is that a 997.2 is very good news. That decimal point is important, signifying a new engine with direct fuel injection, revised suspension, a new gearbox, new exhaust and a whole host of other enhancements over the original 997 - already a brilliant 911 in its own right.

This 2009 example is a four-wheel-drive Carrera 4S Convertible with Porsche's lightning-quick PDK automatic gearbox. The vendor tells us:

"I've only had the car since May 2024, (only selling to upgrade). It has full history (Porsche and specialist) and £10,530.00 of optional extras - I have the print-out".

As the photographs attest, it's a lovely example with great specifications; we particularly like those wheels. The service book has thirteen stamps and a healthy number of accompanying invoices. Recent work includes a full service with a PDK oil change, new front brakes, and replacement of front wishbones and trailing arms. The car comes with advisory-free MOT until October 2025 and is reportedly ready to enjoy.

The History and Paperwork

  • Please note that the car will be offered with the registration 'GK09 VME'
  • UK market RHD example registered in 2009

  • MOT valid until October 2025 with no advisories
  • Thirteen stamps in the service book with numerous receipts
  • Full history with Porsche and specialists

  • Recent work includes a full service, PDK oil change, and replacement of front wishbones, brakes, and trailing arms
  • Many invoices available for works carried out prior to current ownership

The Condition

  • Bodywork is nice and straight, with only a few minor imperfections commensurate with age and mileage
  • Underside looks good, confirmed by a trusted contact at Porschatech LTD
  • A few stone chips present, but nothing at all noteworthy
  • Very smart alloy wheels all-round with minimal signs of wear
  • Folding convertible roof presents beautifully and reportedly operates without fault
  • Car is kept on the vendor's driveway and a commercial unit (in bad weather)
  • Well-presented interior with barely any signs of wear to note besides the gentlest indications of careful use
  • We understand the cabin systems to be in good working order
  • OSF Window Regulator replaced on 24/01/2024

The Mechanics

  • 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six with direct fuel injection

  • No MOT advisories
  • Full service inc. PDK oil change 30/05/24
  • Lower front wish bones replaced 22/10/24
  • New front brakes, discs and sensors 22/10/24
  • Both front trailing arms replaced 07/09/24
