The Appeal
The last of anything is always something to cherish, but when it is - very likely - the last ever Alfa Romeo convertible with a six cylinder engine, then especially so. Charismatic, beautiful, engaging and sonorous, Alfa’s Brera-based Spider has ‘future classic’ cemented in. Just 20 facelift V6 Spiders were believed to have been sold in the UK.
This car’s distinctive Alfa Bianco and oxblood Pelle Frau leather interior. It is a fetching mix that suits the lovely Giugiaro lines, particularly when finished by this car’s classic ‘teledials’ in anodised grey. All surfaces and materials are very well kept, with few indications of the car’s age. The same story is true of the history, which shows a continuous run of servicing throughout the car’s life, irrespective of mileage.
The current keeper has owned the car since 2021 and is only selling as he has traded up to a Jaguar F-Type. It is a mark of his fastidious approach that the car has been freshly serviced before sale and will be supplied with a new 12 months MOT. With its Ascari stainless steel exhaust to elevate that sweet V6 soundtrack, this well-kept and properly maintained car is tailor-made for some spirited driving on sunny days.
The vendor says:
“A summer’s day, the warm sun shining down onto the gleaming white Pininfarina penned Iines, the roof down and the rich tones of the V6 filling the air. That is what this Alfa is made for and what I will miss most about it. The colour combination, the rarity of it being a facelift 3.2 V6 and the soul and charisma that come with it are a heady combination.”
