2007 Volkswagen Golf R32 DSG

Highlights

  • 3.2-litre V6, 4Motion
  • DSG transmission
  • Subtle upgrades
  • 63,093 miles from new
  • Very good history

The Appeal

With the Mk5, Volkswagen returned the Golf to the top of the hot hatch tree. And while the everyday GTI was a brilliant machine, they reserved the real firepower for the R32. With a sweet handling chassis, 4Motion system, 3.2-litre V6 and the option of a twin-clutch DSG transmission, the R32 was the choice for anyone who wanted excellent performance with sure-footed ability and a dash of subtlety.
Here we have a very handsome example, fitted with the optional DSG system and carefully upgraded in a few key areas. It’s clearly been very well maintained, coming as it does with verified low mileage, an extensive history file and a fine service record. There are few everyday cars that are this well built and practical, yet can also give a serious sports car a run for its money down a twisty B-road. This is one such car.
