The Appeal
The Porsche Cayenne was a bit of an unexpected move when it first hit the market. Not only was it the first off-road product the company had produced since its 1950s tractor range, but it was also a return to the V8 engine - something the company had shied from since 1995.
Capable as the Cayenne was, a select few buyers required more. For them there was Gemballa, the renowned tuning house that has been upgrading Porsches since 1981. As expensive as they are capable, these conversions are exceptionally rare.
This one of them, modified by Gemballa soon after purchase at a cost of £60,000. The mouth-watering specification runs to five pages and includes an upgrade to GT Aero 3 550bhp trim with accompanying body kit.
Devastatingly quick - 60mph arrives in under 5secs - and vanishingly rare, this is surely one of the ultimate SUVs. It also comes equipped with a long MOT to September 2024.
