The Appeal
This Gransport trimmed coupe carried with it improvements to the aerodynamics, interior, suspension, engine, and transmission.
It was meant to be a bit tighter, a bit more responsive, and a bit more raw; but not at the expense of comfort. While the exhaust has an extra bit of bark to it, it’s valved so it can be quietened down when you’re slipping into the hotel’s parking after your long journey.
The paddle shifts are tuned to be quicker, the suspension a bit lower, and the interior hugs you like a glove.

With that in mind, the spec and condition of this Gransport exceeds expectations.
With extended leather headliners, Grigio Mercury finished Trofeo alloys, and all finished in the stunning Grigio Alfieri Grey, there isn’t much left to be desired for a GT coupe of this age.

The history file also shows that the clutch was replaced at 33,163 miles at Lancaster Colchester, so should be good for many miles to come. All 4 tyres were replaced less than 3,000 miles ago.
The current owner keeps the car stored under a fleece-lined custom fit cover (which comes with the sale) in an open fronted cartlodge garage. They’ve also fitted a trickle charger (also comes with sale) to keep the battery (battery replaced last June) in optimum condition.

The overall condition of the interior is near-new. While there is some wear found around a few buttons on the driver side dash, this does not at all detract from the elegance of the vehicle.
The seats, front and rear, show little signs of wear, and the trim is well composed, not stretched out in the slightest.
The carpets show no holes or scuffs, and the belts, knobs, and buttons are all in terrific condition.

The Exterior
- Giugiaro Design body trim with Trofeo alloys
- Paintwork in exceedingly good condition
- Grigio Alfieri Grey perfectly suits the elegance of the vehicle
The exterior absolutely shines.
We found it difficult to see any defects on the exterior of this Maserati at all. There are a couple of normal road use paint chips in the front, and a ridiculously small defect on the bonnet as pictured, but these are the only things worth mentioning at all.
Brightwork is gleaming, with all of the badges, accents, and exhaust tips being in top condition. The glass itself is in excellent condition with only minor road marks, being better than expected for the mileage of the car.

The wiper trim, rubbers, grilles, and exterior plastics are all intact and in near perfect condition.
The Trofeo alloy wheels are all in excellent condition and show no signs of curb rash or any other noticeable defects.
These alloys accent the sporty nature of the Gransport, revealing the large, bright red brake callipers and drilled discs proudly in charge of stopping the vehicle.

Summary
The Gransport is, in itself, an uprated, tighter, and more responsive version of one of the greatest grand touring cars of all time.
While it may seem counterintuitive to make these changes to a grand tourer, it is in fact a stroke of genius.
The changes are there to provide the driver with just a bit more excitement, just a bit more driver’s feeling, and just a bit more of that racecar attitude, without forgetting that at its heart, it’s meant to be a comfortable vehicle that you wouldn’t hesitate to drive every day.
