The Appeal
Known internally as the ‘TJ’, the second generation Jeep Wrangler was the first to feature coil-spring suspension on all four corners, significantly improving on-road ride quality. The new Wrangler therefore became popular amongst those who wanted an SUV for everyday use, while retaining immense off-road ability should buyers ever dare to venture off the beaten track.
Here we have one of the last TJ Wranglers made, a right-hand drive UK example first registered in March 2007. It’s fitted with the largest engine available at the time, the 3,960 cc AMC petrol straight-six, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. What makes this one rather special is that it’s had just two owners and has covered only 85,863 miles. Its MOT runs until October 2024 and is free from advisories, so there’s nothing to sort before this Jeep can be enjoyed by its next custodian.
