Highlights
- Low mileage sportwagon, V6-variant in high specification
- Elegant and beautifully presented
- Scarce, late production run V6 Estate
The Appeal
The X-Types' rise in the compact executive saloon market was fast after its launch in 2001 thanks to a perfect execution by a Jaguar Ford fusion. The shooting-brake launched in 2004 and was Jaguar’s first ever mass-production estate car. The design cut a dash and was widely well received by motoring aficionados.
While X-Types sold over 350,000 examples worldwide, just circa 10,000 petrol estate examples were produced. The majority of late production estates were sold as diesels, so this car is doubly scarce. Furthermore, like many 17-year-old estates, these commonly became slave load-luggers, be it of wet dogs, muddy boots, or rose-bush cuttings, so we count this as a very attractive find. Quintessentially British, sophisticated, sporty and practical - what is not to adore?
