The Appeal
In 2003 Jaguar unveiled the 3rd generation XJ saloon, the X350. The radical new luxury saloon was the first XJ series to be completed under Fords ownership. And it was crafted from an all new, lightweight and aerospace inspired aluminium monocoque.
While the exterior retained the looks of the classic XJ line, the interior was packed with the latest technology that was appropriate for a high end luxury saloon. Plus it had the power and performance to match its executive looks.
The X358 certainly was the ideal representation of Sir William Lyons “grace and pace” philosophy. Under the hood resided the AJ-V8 32-valve 4.2 litre V8, which in supercharged form produced an impressive 400BHP. That meant a 0-60mph in 5 seconds and on to an electronically restricted 155mph.
Presented here is an XJ8 Sovereign in rare LWB guise that has recently been imported from Japan.
