Highlights

  • Substantial work carried out in recent months to ensure reliability and driving pleasure Excellent bodywork and bright chromed wheels
  • Legendary Twin Turbo W12 engine power and sound
  • Original owner from new
  • 007 Registration plate included in the sale

The Appeal

The Bentley Continental GTC 2007 is an exceptionally appealing luxury convertible for several reasons. Its timeless design is elegant, classic, and instantly recognizable, with sleek lines, a muscular stance, and the iconic Bentley grille. The retractable soft-top roof allows for a thrilling top-down driving experience, perfect for enjoying sunny days or coastal road trips.
Under the bonnet, the GTC boasts a powerful 6.0-liter W12 engine, delivering an exhilarating driving experience with 552 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just under 5 seconds, providing impressive performance on demand.
Inside the GTC, you'll find a luxurious and meticulously crafted interior. Fine leather, wood veneers, and chrome accents adorn the cabin, creating a refined and opulent atmosphere. The seats are comfortable and supportive, ensuring a pleasurable driving experience.
Despite being a 2007 model, the GTC still offers a range of advanced features and technology. These include a premium sound system, navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, and various driver-assistance features, enhancing comfort, convenience, and safety.
This lovely example has been under the care of one owner from new ensuring excellent maintenance, keeping the history of the vehicle in check and has recently undergone significant maintenance to ensure reliability and drivability.

The History and Paperwork

  • The same owner from new
  • A very substantial collection of paperwork detailing vast amounts of maintenance
  • A personalised 007 themed registration plate included in the sale
With many cars of this marque seeing various keepers in their life, it is refreshing to see an example that has gone its whole 16 years under the care of just one keeper. The vendor has spared no costs and has ensured much of the maintenance has been carried out by dealers or specialists.
The most recent work included vast amounts of work on the brakes and convertible soft top system summing a total of £4,984.
There is a historical receipt for work carried out at Lloyds Autobody and this was confirmed by the vendor that this was due to vandalism and so was directed to the correct destination for repair and this was evidently very thorough given the work carried out.

The Interior

  • Dripping in the highest quality materials including fine leather, hardwood and milled metal fixings
  • Deep pile carpets and mats
  • Premium audio system and GPS navigation
From the Breitling dash mounted clock to the solid wood trims and premium metal finishings there is little wonder the Bentley Continental is a favourite amongst the world’s wealthy. Having a timeless look and a quality that lasts there are fewer cars that live up to such a luxuriant standard.
This example has been highly specified and wears wonderful cream leather all round that although would benefit from a thorough clean in places, has worn well and will no doubt be just as comfortable as it was when new.
The higher contact areas of a Bentley are of course made from premium materials meaning wear is kept to a minimum with the steering wheel looking very glossy indeed and even the indicator stalk and door handles retaining their intended finishes.
All the wood too, retains a great finish with no evidence of damage that we saw and this has held a deep colour and gloss to enjoy today.
The door cards are dressed in the same fine cream leather as the seats and have seen some minor abrasions and marks in areas with the higher contact areas in need of some cleaning but otherwise in fine order.
The GTC soft top interior is damage free and just wears a slight discoloration that could be easily remedied to a great standard.
In the vast boot space all the dark deep pile carpets are in perfect order with high polished tie-downs for luggage and the original warning triangle, tool kit and air pump remain.
Two telltales are currently illuminated on the dashboard, one for the TPMS and the other is a remaining issue with the electronic roof system due to water ingress. While the tyre pressure system is a simple fix and has only been left due to an issue sourcing parts, the roof has been looked at by specialists and this too can only be remedied with parts not currently available. The vendor has assured us of these facts and cannot confirm if the roof works in the current state as they did not want to try it.

The Exterior

  • 20 Inch chrome Bentley wheels wrapped in Pirelli Pzero tyres
  • Nice straight bodywork all round
  • Clean and well maintained convertible hood
Undoubtedly a Continental by those familiar twin headlights and large oval tailpipes, this example is presented in a rich dark blue that looks almost purple in some lights and has a deep multi-coloured metallic flake typical of the high quality finishes provided by Bentley.
Set apart from many with a set of large chrome wheels that suit the car exceptionally well and the nice addition of being a soft top, this is a truly luxurious daily car.
There is paperwork evidence of some significant bodywork having been done in 2012 due to reported vandalism by some kids but this clearly has not affected the appearance of the vehicle and all finishes and colour tones appear to match perfectly.
The wheels we are pleased to see are in fine fettle having an excellent finish and few marks to note, perhaps simply benefiting from a thorough polish to restore their original lustre.
The more delicate external surfaces around the vehicle such as the dark blue soft top fabric, the highly polished stainless steel grille and the lights are in good order with no evidence of missing or damaged parts. The paintwork as previously stated is very good although some attention from a machine polisher would bring this car to the next level complimenting the fine finish and luxuriant colour of the car.

The Mechanics

  • Quality branded, matching tyres all round
  • Totally original and unmolested example
  • Solid maintenance record
With an engine such as this W12 Twin Turbo, maintenance is of top priority to retain value and performance and this Bentley has seen very good servicing and more recently significant work on the brakes.
New disc brakes and brake pads have been fitted all round along with new drop links and new HVAC system control unit and all 12 ignition coils all at significant cost .
There does remain an issue with the convertible top operation, hence the light illuminated on the dashboard and it has been advised that a new harness and control modules are fitted.
The vendor told us the car runs and drives perfectly and we’re sure it will, given the more recent mechanical work carried out. The car comes with an automatic transmission that has a tiptronic option too for a more engaging driving experience, powering all four wheels for excellent grip year round.
Underneath it is evident at all four corners that the drop links and brakes have been replaced by bright new parts and surrounding components show just typical signs of age but nothing out of the ordinary that we could see.

Summary

Quite the epitome of luxury touring, the Continental GTC is a tough one to match by any standard. Boasting an W12 engine that delivers a whopping 550bhp that is transferred to the road through all four wheels this is a car you will not be in a hurry to forget…no wonder the vendor has kept it for 16 years!
Well maintained with no expense spared, this fine car wants for little and would grace any driveway or collection with its magnificence and craftsmanship.
