2006 Triumph Bonneville T100 865

Highlights

  • Low mileage of 3,123 miles
  • One registered keeper
  • Iconic Triumph Bonneville T100 model
  • Later T100 with larger engine
  • Long term dry storage requiring recommissioning

The Appeal

Triumph’s decision to rejuvenate the classic Bonneville T100 nameplate could have gone badly wrong. Mixing classic aesthetics with modern biking behaviour takes a degree of skill.
Fortunately, the new bike delivered. In spades. Reviewers lauded its retro lines and typically Bonneville behaviour. This was an agile, powerful bike as at home on the bends as the long straights where it eats the miles in comfort.
Later T100s got the enlarged version of Triumph’s parallel twin, bored out to 865cc.
This very low mileage example is one of those. Smartly finished in red and black and with a single keeper from new, it has recently been released from a small Triumph collection.
That it has been off the road since 2015 explains the low mileage but also means it will require some recommissioning. It has not been started for some time but has been dry stored under a cover. On this relatively new bike that should be a fairly straightforward process, delivering the buyer a barely used example of these highly regarded modern classics.
