The Appeal

Introduced in 1996, the Boxster is a mid-engined 2-seater roadster developed by Porsche alongside the Cayman. The name “Boxster” is of course a play on words, combining elements of the car’s signature boxer engine, and roadster body style. Known for its characterful driving experience, the Boxster benefits from fantastic weight distribution and a low centre of gravity, as a result of its mid-engine configuration.
This particular Boxster S belongs to the second generation of its kind, otherwise referred to as the 987. The 987 introduced a wave of new styling tweaks, and later offered improved engines over the initial base options. As such, this 2006 model boasts the highly desirable revised flat-six, that now features 3.4 litres worth of displacement.
In addition to packing arguably the most desirable engine and transmission combination, this Boxster S has also been very well maintained throughout its life, with plenty of history to show. Having covered just 24,693 miles, it’s also in excellent condition for its age, now reflecting both a superb interior and exterior finish.
This Porsche Boxster S is arguably one of the finer driver’s cars available today, and will no doubt make a fantastic addition to any collection.

The History and Paperwork

  • OPC & independent service history
  • Just 24,693 miles covered
  • Only 4 former keepers
  • Excellent collection of paperwork
  • V5C document present
  • All original handbooks included
  • Comes with 2 keys
  • Incredibly MOT history
  • MOT until June 2023
This highly specced Boxster now shows an incredibly low figure of just 24,693 miles on the clock, with 4 recorded former keepers. The vehicle is said to have spent its time within the same family, being passed from father to son on two occasions. Throughout its time with previous keepers, the vehicle has clearly been absolutely cherished, as evident by the fantastic condition & mechanical health presented today.
Whilst on the subject of mechanical health, the vehicle has also been very well maintained over the years, and now shows a fantastic mixture of Official Porsche Centre and independent specialist service history. This Porsche received its most recent service at just 24,666 miles courtesy of Porsche Centre Bristol and is now more than ready to be enjoyed.
Included alongside the service history & stamped booklet is a fantastic collection of invoices detailing previous maintenance & sundries, along with the full handbook pack, original brochures & Porsche Passport documents, the V5C document, and even the original order form.

The Interior

  • Full black leather interior
  • Sports seats
  • BOSE sound system
  • 3-spoke leather steering wheel
  • Pioneer entertainment screen (original is included)
  • Auto dim interior
  • Park assist
  • Telephone mobile
  • Porsche 6-disc CD autochanger
  • Automatic climate control
  • GT Silver details
The interior of this Boxster offers a superb balance of welcome comforts, swish technology, and gorgeous styling, further accented by the likes of the GT Silver centre console & rear section. Having been absolutely treasured by previous keepers, the interior also presents itself in fantastic condition.
The Porsche badge-adorned sports seats offer excellent comfort levels, and do a brilliant job at holding you in place throughout the bends. As the images reflect, both seats are in fantastic condition, with seemingly only the driver's seat showing incredibly minor signs of use.
Carpeting throughout the vehicle has also been well cared for over the years, and much like both door cards leaves nothing to be further desired. The steering wheel and shift knob follow suit, having both experienced significantly less use than a vast portion of other examples on the market.
Also rather impressively, all GT Silver details and plastic trim also appear to be in excellent condition, with no noticeable defects worth mentioning. This is commonly an area that tends to show signs of age rather easily on higher mileage Boxsters, but certainly not with this cherished example.
Should the upgraded Pioneer unit not be to your tastes, the original PCM Satellite Navigation kit is included with the vehicle, for an easy swap back. Whilst on the subject of electronic devices, it should be noted that all controls and tech within the interior are believed to be in full working order, with no known faults.

The Exterior

  • GT Silver metallic paintwork
  • Sport Design bodywork package
  • Brand new 19” Turbo alloys
  • Red brake calipers
  • Bi-Xenon lights
  • Fantastic condition
As if the Boxster wasn’t stylish enough in its base form, this example also shows off the desirable Sport Design bodywork package, with a gorgeous coat of GT Silver metallic paintwork.
As you would expect with the mileage covered, the paintwork is in fantastic condition, with no major defects worth noting. Upon close inspection, there are likely to be the expected front-end speckles, and perhaps the occasional minute blemish, but hardly anything that detracts from the overall finish. In fact, this Boxster even still shows clear PPF on the rear quarters, just next to the intake vents.
Complementing the gorgeous paintwork is a set of brand new 19” Turbo alloys, which were sourced at a rather considerable cost of £6k. The wheels are of course in new condition, and suit the vehicle perfectly, allowing the spotless red calipers to shine through between the spokes. The wheels come wrapped in a set of Michelin tyres, with plenty of tread for the lucky new owner to enjoy.
All exterior details such as badging and lights are also in fantastic condition, with no obvious defects to mention. The soft top follows suit and operates faultlessly to provide a water-tight seal with no rips or tears.

This really is a gorgeous example, no doubt a testament to both the low mileage covered, and the excellent care shown by previous keepers. Very few examples in today’s market are capable of rivaling the finish and condition shown here today.

The Mechanics

  • 3.4L flat-six
  • Manual 6-speed
  • Drives brilliantly
  • Recently serviced at 24,489 miles
  • Advisory free MOT until
Fitted with the desirable 3.4L boxer engine and a sweet 6-speed to suit, this Boxster is sure to provide endless fun out on the roads. The vehicle has been very well maintained throughout its life, as supported by the superb MOT history, which shows just one incredibly minor advisory over the years.
Complete with a recent service at 24,489 miles and plenty of MOT left, this Boxster now performs without a single known mechanic or electrical fault. With plenty of sunshine still to come, this Porsche Boxster S is ready to hit the roads and put a wild grin across the face of anyone lucky enough to be behind the wheel.
